Midweek music fix

New album I am into: Still The XX. This album is awesome. You can buy the mp3s on amazon.

Classic Album:
Lovelss by My Bloody Valentine. I've listened to the vinyl about 5 times over the past week. Its great. Again, you can download cheap on amazon
Concert news: I am desperately seeking tickets to pheonix tomorrow night. Let me know if you know of some.
Band of the moment: The Raveonettes.

this week's fix

VCR - The XX. This entire album is great...great vibe and lyrics. "we live half at night"

WYC - Last Tide. I've mentioned it a few times already. This band is great. I love this EP. Check them out on myspace myspace.com/lasttide.

Joey (Acoustic) - Concrete Blonde. I have and will always love this song. There is such emotion in her voice..."Oh Joey if you're hurtin'/So am I"....And later in the song, "And if you somewhere passed out on her floor/Joey I'm not angry anymore"

Hands - The Dutchess and the Duke. I like the way this song sounds. Don't know anything about the band.

U Got The Look - Prince. I thought I'd shake things up a bit with some prince. Possibly an underrated prince song.

Useful Chamber - Dirty Projectors. This is another vinyl thats getting alot of play. I have no idea what this song is about. I think you put this on at a cocktail party and people will think you're cool, hip and now.

Hellhome Ratrace - Girls. Missed these guys in concert tonight. Depressing and dramatic (the music).

Blush - Raveonettes. Its official. The raveonettes are my band of the moment. I think we're on 4 straight weeks with a raveonettes song.
